And the oceanfront location isn't bad either. The Delano sits just three blocks from the hustle and bustle of famous Ocean Drive and South Beach, and close to Lincoln Road Mall's trendy shopping and restaurants.
For dining, guests will salivate over the Florida-inspired French cuisine at the popular Blue Door Restaurant and Brasserie, which requires reservations at least two weeks in advance. To eat outside, guests can pick the Blue Door Terrace, which provides views of the hotel's lush garden and pool area. Located in the lobby, the Blue Sea is a small place with one long communal table, but at night turns into an Asian sea bar specializing in Asian fusion cuisine, caviar, oysters and sushi.
Adding to its surreal surroundings, the Delano offers an outdoor swimming pool with underwater classical music and areas for meditating. There are even tables in the shallow end for eating. Guests can enjoy a fully stocked gym facility, while women will love Agua, a rooftop bathhouse and solarium just for them.
EVERYTHING in the guests rooms are white: the walls, the linens, the wood floors. And pewter angel figurines mounted high on the walls keep watch over everything.
The Delano emphasizes lounging, sun worshipping and pampering. Guests are an international mix of upscale leisure business travelers, including big shots from the entertainment industry.
