Designed by Anouska Hempel and set in two Victorian mansions, the hotel is located one-half mile from Kings Road. Sandwiched between the affluent centers of Kensington and Chelsea, the area is home to an array of boutiques and restaurants amidst landmarks such as the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Royal Albert Hall, and the Serpentine Gallery situated in the heart of Kensington Gardens. Densely decorated in an East-meets- West style, the Blakes Hotel London features numerous Chinese, Japanese and Indian antiques as well as occasional Egyptian or Venetian curios. Bus services include the Airbus Heathrow shuttle to London Victoria or King's Cross railway stations. The easiest way to get around London is by using the Underground (metro) or bus services.
