fiogf49gjkf0d The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort is an All-Inclusive resort, adjacent to one of the Mayan Riviera's longest beaches. The hotel is within 20 miles of remarkable Mayan ruins, Playa del Carmen, Xel Ha and Xcaret. On each side of the resort, Beach and Garden, contains a huge, free form pool. Each pool includes a shallow- water children's section. Sundecks around the pools are enormous, offering uncrowded lounge-chair space. Plentiful hammocks swing under palm trees near the pools. As part of the All-Inclusive Plan, complimentary services and facilities include a children center offering playground equipment, activities, movies, and games; a large, state-of-the-art, open-air fitness center under a huge palapa; a health spa with men's and women's saunas and steam rooms, a hot tub; and a relaxation garden. Activities run all day and night. The activities staff presents a nightly show in the theater involving dance, music, and numerous costume changes. Like all major Mayan Riviera hotels, the resort is equipped with a water-purification system. The hotel feature two main buffets "Caribe" and "Beach" and its open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Two A la Carte restaurants "Don Quijote" and "El Agave" which serves Spanish and Mexican cuisine, open for dinner and reservations are required and formal dress code. Two snack bars restaurants "Capital Morgan" and "Rancho Grande" that serves light foods such as burgers, pizza, and salads all day. At night "Captain Morgan" becomes a disco nightclub, with light food available.
Guest rooms are located in five, three-story buildings each having a garden courtyard containing an oversized Mayan-inspired statue. Rooms are cool and comfortable, with textured, cream-colored walls, and red-marble accents (desktop and vanity). Each room has a balcony furnished with two chairs and a small table with views of the resort's lush tropical grounds and gardens. Bathrooms include a tub/shower combination and a scale. Compact refrigerators are stocked daily with beer, soft drinks, and bottled water. Other amenities include in room safes, Internet access (surcharge), mini bars, pay-per-view movies and telephones with voicemail.
